Outlines plan for a network of 500,000 charging stations.
President Joe Biden made an appearance this week at the North American International Auto Show being held in Detroit, Michigan. He met with auto industry workers, union leaders, and car manufacturers, and made a speech at the end of his visit.
He announced $900 million approved for constructing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations across 35 states, part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed in November 2021, as well as consumer grants available to fund the purchase of EVs.
The president stated, “Companies have announced new investments of more than $36 billion in electric vehicles and $48 billion in batteries manufacturing in the U.S.“ He added, “The great American road trip is going to be fully electrified.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president to seek God’s wisdom as he promotes electric vehicles.
- For insight for energy officials as they pursue alternative energy sources.
- For U.S. environmentalists as they assess the impact of fossil energy against renewable sources.
